Singida

Singida Region is a rugged, semi-arid heartland of scattered granite kopjes, seasonal salt lakes, and the wide-open skies of central Tanzania. Lake Singida and Lake Kindai — shallow soda lakes — attract flamingos, pelicans, and over 200 bird species, making the area a quietly spectacular birding destination. The Nyiramba and Iramba peoples practise terraced millet farming on the rocky plateau, preserving traditional granary architecture and ironwork skills.
